In 2010, Macarthur Credit Union launched its formal Community Grant program, giving away $30,272 to a wide range of community groups in the Macarthur area.

The Community Grants were awarded at the Macarthur Credit Union AGM, held on 17 November 2010 at Oran Park Town.

“Macarthur Credit Union has a long and generous history of giving back to its members either directly through lower fees and better rates or to the broader community through donations and support. We are ‘in and for the community’ after all. No commercial shareholders to siphon off the profits – it all comes back to you. I am personally delighted that we have been able to take this next step and focus our efforts this year on these six very worthy causes. Indeed, I look forward to a higher level of generosity next year when, hopefully, we can make an even bigger difference within our community.”
