The program has worked so successfully in the Sutherland Shire that Macarthur Credit Union is confident it will provide the same great business results in our community. For this reason, we are very pleased to invite you and your business to join us in this exciting new shared business program within the Macarthur community.
Everyone will benefit from the Shared Business Opportunity program: the customers, the local businesses and the members of the credit union.
It's simple and you can only benefit from your involvement.
Here's how it works:
- The credit union gets your business
And in return - You are given access to a wider range of specially priced, highly competitive financial products and services
- Your business receives local marketing assistance and promotion
- Our members benefit from your business offers through the Credit Union
It starts with the Credit Union:
- Your business is only eligible for inclusion in the program if you are an existing member or, you become a new member and have your personal or business accounts with Macarthur Credit Union. Your minimum total relationship value will need to be $100,000 – however; this does not have to be all business money. It can be a combination of savings and loans and/or it can be made up of a combination of your personal and/or business accounts.
E.g. If you have a home loan or business loan or money invested with us of $100,000 or more, you would be guaranteed inclusion into the Shared Business Opportunity. Any loan must be a funded loan - if you apply for a loan you will be eligible to benefit from the program only when the loan is funded.
- You then need to provide us with a special value or privilege business offer that can be advertised exclusively to our 19,000 members.
- Using the credit union’s newsletter, website advertising, promotion and branch facilities we provide our members with offers from your business along with the other participating businesses.
Next, you receive benefits:
- As a participant you will be entitled to a wider range of highly competitive financial facilities for your business and personal accounts and loans
- In return for your business contribution the credit union will establish an annual program of promotion for your business to our 19,000 members. This includes:
- Free marketing assistance to promote your goods and services or special offers
- Promotion and/or testing of your special offers and/or new products or concepts locally four times a year within the marketing program. This can include redemption coupons that generate leads, clients or store traffic for your business
- Advertising your business in 4 newsletters which are mailed to 19,000 members and displayed in each of our 4 branches at Camden, Narellan, Picton and Tahmoor
- Advertising your business and offers in the special shared business section of our website.
Our members then receive:
- Your special local business offers
- Higher value from Macarthur Credit Union, local retailers and local service providers
- Encouragement to support the Macarthur local business community and receive better retail terms.

As soon as your level of personal and/business with us meets the program’s eligibility criteria, a credit union representative will contact you to discuss the credit union shared marketing program that will most effectively promote your business to our members.
The advertising details
Once you are registered with us you will need to provide us with:
- Your logo, contact details and a one line statement describing your business (extra supporting information will be subject to space considerations)
- Details of your special offer to be promoted to our members
- Your special offer will be then be promoted through:
- Our quarterly member newsletters. All printing and postage costs will be paid by the credit union
- Our credit union website
- Your business website can also be linked to our website
- Through coupon offer sheets made available to our members to redeem at your business
- Branch promotion and take-ones
