Direct Charging and rediATM
Direct Charging and rediATM
Did you know, from 3 March 2009 you’ll be charged a fee to use another financial institutions ATM if you don't bank with them?
ATM Direct Charging is due to be introduced by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) on 3 March 2009 and applies to all financial institutions throughout Australia. This new legislation means that you can be charged a transaction fee by the ATM owner at the point of transaction, if you do not belong to their financial institutions network.
The fee charged by the ATM owner will vary and will be displayed before you make a withdrawal, so you will have the opportunity to cancel the transaction without being charged.
As Macarthur Credit Union is part of the Credit Union rediATM network you have access to over 1,300 rediATMs across Australia. This network is set to double in size over the next 5 years.
