You are entitled to apply for hardship assistance under the National Credit Code. If you are unable reasonably, because of illness, unemployment or other reasonable cause, to meet your obligations under a credit contract you may apply to your credit provider to change the terms of your loan contract. If you are not satisfied with your credit provider’s decision regarding your hardship application, you may apply directly to the relevant court or tribunal in your State or Territory to change the terms of your contract.
